My friend Neda came to visit from New York this week and we were sitting around the living room trading cool stuff we've been listening to lately. She turned me on to this guy, William Onyeabor, who from what I understand is the Nigerian king of psychedelic music from the '70's. It's really great stuff and I was drawn to it immediately. There is an abundance of synthed-out herky jerky rhythms which really drives my soul into a frenzy.
Anyway, last night while listening to his song, Good Name, I turned the lyrics into this type poster I was playing around with. It started off by just experimenting with halftone textures and some PSD styles that I acquired and it turned into this poster. I probably won't do anything with this, but I just really liked how it turned out.
