I've been working on some icons for this new gallery app for a client. They're using this diamond motif right now, but they are looking for something a bit more conceptual. So I came up with this idea of showing some sort of panel motif. Like an open book or a series of panels that a potential user can flip through. Essentially, this will be how the app will operate. At any rate, we decided that we both like the cropped "panels-coming-out-of-the-icon" look. I expanded this idea further by tying in their diamond theme to this concept. Panels coming out of a diamond. Or something like that. Work in progress stuff. I don't know. I'm into it.
